A community discussion of how waterfront workers can beat the port bosses.
Speaker Mike Fuqua, a rank-and-file member of International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 21, will be joined by Calvin Borders of the Seattle Port Trucker Association and Annaliza Torres, a member of Office and Professional Employees International Union
and the Occupy Seattle Port Solidarity Committee at 7:30 p.m. The panel will examine the lessons of the strikes and work stoppages that swept docks in Longview and Seattle last winter and spring and look at what’s next.
Summer supper served at 6:00 p.m. Door donation $3, dinner donation $9.00, sliding scale available for strikers, students and the unemployed.
